Shadylake Kennels offers training for gun dogs which begins
with basic obedience. Obedience is the backbone of a well-trained
retriever. We start with the basic commands of "sit",
"here" and "heel", and work into force-fetch,
collar conditioning multiple marks and handling blind retrieves
in the field.
We train your retriever to be an excellent hunting companion
or a top notch Hunt Test or Field Trial competitor. We work
very closely with each owner to design an individual training
program as unique as your dog. Whatever your needs are,
we will prepare your retriever to satisfy them.
At Shadylake Kennel, we encourage our clients to come out
and train with us. We regularly get together with clients
on the weekends for training sessions, consultations or just
a visit. You are always welcome.
